James Whale, better known for directing horror classics such as FRANKENSTEIN and THE INVISIBLE MAN, creates a sublime classic with this 1936 film version. Loaded with pathos, sophisticated comedy, and what has to be one of the great moments in film musical history, Paul Robeson's singing of OL' MAN RIVER! DON'T MISS IT!!
